Dragonic Touch (Lycan Only)

Elathon's eyes slowly closed as he drifted into a well-needed sleep, his face remained at peace, and his breathing steadied.

The morning came slowly for the half vampire. Sleep made it go faster at some points of the night. Sunlight slowly broke into the room through the small window. Phoenix curled up on the floor, her knees pulled to her chest and one hand pressed to her stomach, the other around her neck. Her breathing would catch at some points shakily and she'd force herself to stop breathing completely for a few seconds.

Half open, dull crimson eyes twitched at sunlight and she slowly ducked her head, stifling a cough to keep herself quiet. She knew Elathon needed sleep and made sure he would get a decent rest. No reason why except she wanted him okay.

Elathon moved slightly in his sleep, before sighing deeply.

She sighed shakily as he did and laid her head on the floor again, mumbling silently to herself. Counting every second to distract herself had stopped working a few hours ago. Her eyes were glued to the wall now, studying the old wood. Her hand softly clenched around her own throat, bruising the skin faintly.

Elathon's eyes move beneath their lids, darting to and throwing, tracing his dreams around his head. Weirdly a short laugh escapes his lips.

Phoenix's eyes faintly darted to him at the short laugh. She shivered then sighed quietly, halfway thinking on her own thoughts on him then sat up, her back stiff and sore along with the rest of her body from the last days tensity from her demon. She let go of her neck to hold her stomach, leaning against the wall.

Elathon stirred slightly, rolling onto his side.

She seemed to watch him for awhile now, red eyes softening and she kept her arms still. She winced briefly then stood silently, shivering. she came back only after a couple minutes, setting a plate of food on the stand by his bed, keeping quiet. Keeping from breathing again until she stepped back and lowered her head.

Elathon finally blinks awake, looking around, trying to place himself, before finally yawning and rolling onto his back staring at the roof.

Phoenix tilted her head as he rolled over and she shifted, staying standing by the door. She folded her arms around her stomach again and closed her eyes after mumbling a morning, hiding the crimson irises.

Elathon looks over, "didn't realise you were there." He sighs, before looking back at the roof.

Phoenix sighed quietly at his response then coughed, shaking her head and turning. "Breakfast is next to you..." She uttered quietly before shifting and slipping out to sit in the hall.

Elathon shrugs slightly at her departure, but begins to eat the breakfast, he still doens't feel quite right.

She figured he didn't, but she also felt she couldn't do much else. New thoughts made her even more tentative, and her hunger seemed to be drilling a hole in her gut. The smell of his blood just under the surface of skin was another fact to follow. A sigh escaped her as she looked out the window, staying just outside the door.

Elathon sat up for a while, the remains of the food discarded to his side, now he had to face the issue that had troubled his dreams. They were all right. He was weak. He couldn't defend himself, let alone the forest. As he pondered this fact, he began to hear a mournful sound in his mind. Eventually it grew so great he could no longer ignore it. Every tree in the forest was crying, every one feeling his doubt. Every one was afraid. They teemed with fear, but what could he do for them? The damage was done, Lycan had already killed huge swathes of them.

It was then he realised his mistake, they were mourning his loss of hope, not their own loss of body. They needed him, and that wouldn't change just because he had been hurt, that wouldn't change because he didn't think he was up to it. That was how it had to be.

She could partially sense the pain for a moment. Everything was too quiet, and even her mind had quieted for awhile. She glanced towards his room, thinking then shivered and left to the main room for a moment. She walked back to his after a little while, her eyes a vague amethyst after she had eaten a bit. She looked in slowly, her hand lightly pressed to the doorframe. "...Elathon?"

"Yes?" Elathon said, a light glinting in his eyes, a fire from his soul. "I believe that sleep has done me good, but you have helped me too many times for my liking," he grins broadly, "now it's time to repay the favour." He stands up, although his body is still sore the purpose running through his body makes the pain easy to hide. "WE shall find him, we shall help him, we shall save it all."

Phoenix blinked slightly as he did. She flashed a faint smile for him and lightly shook her head. "I don't care about him right now...and you don't need to repay any favor..." She started, knowing that her own argument was weak. "I don't want to find him..." she started over. "I want....to ease...and find my memories..." She uttered quietly, looking to him. Truly, she couldn't help an odd feeling in her chest at his statement.

With her speaking, the one who caused the mess of helping Lycan slowly sneaked into the forest.

"Well I have to do something," Elathon pauses, "and that might as well be help you. After all," He stops again, and anyone looking at him would see the impression of a light-green aura around him, "you wouldn't want me to call you to account for the mistakes you have made. You punish yourself enough for them."

Phoenix watched him as he spoke, purple-ish eyes seeming calm for the time being. She rubbed her arm absently, looking down a bit to hide her own look for him as she mumbled a vague agreement. Outside, a small whistle sounded. It wouldn't have an affect on anybody, not even a dog by its sound, but the half vampire looked up, a small dizzy flash crossing her features as she looked out the window.

Elathon looked confusedly at her, looking out the window, finally whispers of a dark passing reach his ears, but is it too late? No. Not any more there can't be "too late" any more. He had to make sure of this.

Phoenix's lip seemed to twitch and she glanced back to Elathon then to the window again. A small shaky sigh before she turned, even in her own slightly injured state like him and slipped towards the front door.

Elathon stays still for a moment, his new found resolve wavering slightly, before following her quickly.

Phoenix seemed to relax when she noticed him again and she looked to him, pausing a bit to continue on next to him as they got outside. The whistle issued again and she turned slightly as she followed it.

Elathon sighed, following her in to the unknown, what had he gone and become? To late no time to back out now.
